MORPH is a memorial park at Hillside campus of Art Center College of Design.
It is to commemorate people who have put their work onto the education,
as well as provide in multi-purpose outdoor area to the current students and visitors.

FEATURES

#PLANTS

California is in severe water shortage due to lack of rain. With drought tolerant and california native plants, water will dramatically be saved and at the same time the park will be flourished with variety of plants.

 

* Botanicus Interacticus is developed by Disney Research

#BOTANICUS INTERACTION

Botanicus Interacticus is a technology for designing highly expressive interactive plants. It allows to use such gestures as sliding fingers on the stem of the orchid, detecting touch and grasp location, tracking proximity between human and a plant, and estimating the amount of touch contact, among others.

 

#PAVEGEN

Pavegen is a device that uses kinetic movement to charge electricity. By intalling them through portion of MacMinn Dr, the constant traffic on campus generates power to supply lightings, water pumps and power plugs in the park.

 

#GREYWATER

Sink water, rain runoff and shower water will be
collected and reused to moisturize the park.

 
 

#MEMORIAL STONE

Memorial tree and stones around the campus are now gathered at the center of the park. With replacable memorial stone, more names are able to be engraved.
